The First Days of Spring Trailer

Noah and the Whale are a fantastic young band who are releasing their second album soon. You may remember their first album had a poppy little ditty called 5 Year Time. Well First Days of Spring does not have such poppy ditties, but it’s full of heartbreaking tunes. I have been listening to it non stop for the last 2 days.

They have made a film to go along with this album which you can get in the deluxe version of their album.

Get In Me – Norm Macdonald

Norm Macdonald is awesome. I fucking love him. I’ve heard a lot of shit about him, I’ve heard a lot of good things too.

When I met him he was amazing and we hugged a couple of times and he was so fucking sweet.

The Invention of Lying Trailer

Ricky Gervais is the first person to lie. Louis CK, Tina Fey and many more are in this flick. Looks pretty good.

Just saw this for the first time. Probably should be on The Invention of Lying DVD.

Bunny and The Bull

I have heard rumour that this flick is doing its world premier at the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) this year. If so this will be the first film I will see that the festival ever.

From what I’ve heard it’s a road trip film that never leaves the apartment. It’s all crazy imagination stuff!

It is directed by The Mighty Boosh director Paul King and stars the Boosh boys Noel and Julian as well as the hilarious Richard Ayoade, and Simon Farnaby and Edward Hogg are the road tripping duo.

Apparently there was a sneak glimpse of this movie at Cannes which created a huge buzz and I’ve been reading it will be at TIFF as part of the vanguard series. I must see it and I really hope the Boosh Boys attend the screening. Party time fer sure!

Also I just heard that Richard Ayoade is going to be directing a film called Submarine that has Paddy Considine in it. Amazing!

Be That Girl – Alexa Chung

Why you should be Alexa Chung:

1. She seems pretty cool – though I’ve never watched her show – I think I can still guess that she seems cool.

2. She has a rock star boyfriend – Alex Turner from The Arctic Monkeys and The Last of the Shadow Puppets. And their names are Alex and Alexa. Every girl should strive to have a rock star boyfriend/ girlfriend/ whatever.

3. She is British and she lives in Brooklyn now. That really makes me want to be her.

4. She has pretty cool style.
